On a Monday morning in New Orleans, Louisiana, 17-year-old Tokoyo Jamal Palmer was on his way to the school bus stop when his life was tragically cut short. On January 26, 2015, the L.B. Landry-Walker High School senior was shot and killed in the 3700 block of Garden Oaks Drive. Palmer, a male student known for staying out of trouble, was an active member of his school community, participating in the Navy J.R.O.T.C, choir, marching band, and junior varsity basketball team.
