Tokoyo Palmer, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot multiple times on January 26, 2015, in the parking lot of the Forest Park Apartments located in the 3700 block of Garden Oaks Drive in Algiers, New Orleans. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. while Tokoyo was on his way to school. He was a junior at Landry-Walker High School, where he participated in ROTC, the choir, and athletics.
