On a summer afternoon in New Orleans, what should have been an ordinary day turned into a scene of devastating violence that claimed the life of Stephen George Jr. The 61-year-old man became a victim of a brazen shooting on July 2, 2019, an event that also tragically ended the life of his stepson, Kendrick Cockerham. The fatal encounter took place in New Orleans East, at the intersection of Downman and Dwyer roads, at approximately 2:21 p.m.
