In the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans, a life was tragically cut short on December 4, 2021. Lorenzo Cortez, a 27-year-old male, was fatally shot in the 3100 block of Mistletoe Street. The New Orleans Police Department responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the firearm-related homicide.
The investigation led to the identification of a suspect, and an arrest was made in connection with the murder of Cortez. The individual taken into custody was Juanita Adams.
Following her arrest, the case was presented to the Orleans Parish Grand Jury.
