Death by Force

Demetrius Thomas, a 33-year-old Black male, was found dead on August 24, 2022, in the 2800 block of Comus Court in New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call at approximately 1:46 p.m. and discovered Thomas inside a building, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later confirmed that Thomas's cause of death was due to injuries sustained from the gunshot wounds.
