Demetrius Thomas was a 33-year-old Black man when his life ended on August 24, 2022, in New Orleans, after a midday call sent officers to the 2800 block of Comus Court. Inside a building, police found him down with multiple gunshot wounds; paramedics arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
