In June of 2015, a grim discovery was made in a residential area of southeast Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Two women from North Texas were found shot to death inside a vehicle parked on the side of the road in the 8100 block of Boone Avenue. One of the victims was identified as 23-year-old Brandi Gilbert of Plano. The other victim was 23-year-old Corrin Rayford of Grapevine. The women were found on a Friday evening after a resident noticed the car with its door open and alerted the police.
