In the waning hours of a November night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 19-year-old April Netter was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle on North 47th Street. The incident, which occurred on November 30, 2016, also left a young man with a hand injury. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the shooting was a drive-by, and investigators believe Netter was not the intended target of the gunfire.
