Roxann Bond, a 47-year-old Caucasian woman, was found deceased on Thanksgiving evening, November 24, 2016, in an industrial area of North Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A mother of three, Bond was described by her family and friends as being strong-willed and kindhearted. Originally from Dry Prong, Louisiana, which is nearly two and a half hours away from where her body was discovered, the reasons for her presence in Baton Rouge remain a mystery to investigators.
Around 7:00 PM that evening,
authorities received a call about an unresponsive person on the side of East Industrial Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Roxann Bond, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of death was homicide resulting from the gunshot wounds.
