On the evening of December 23, 2023, 24-year-old African American woman Tamine Tayana Richardson was fatally shot at approximately 9:02 p.m. at 3131 Riley Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A 24-year-old male was also shot but survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were transported to a local hospital, where Tamine Richardson succumbed to her injuries.
