On February 4, 2023, Derrick Myers, aged 58, was fatally shot in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. during a gathering at 200 Rebel Woods Drive. According to investigators, Myers became involved in an argument with another man, which escalated, leading to Myers being shot twice. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
