Curtis Ford, a 33-year-old African American male, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head on July 22, 2015, in Monroe, Louisiana. The incident occurred on South Third Street, an area known for its criminal activities. The Monroe Police Department responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. and determined that the shooting was the result of an ongoing altercation between Ford and another individual, Vinterrious Burton.
