An evening meant for entertainment and laughter turned into a scene of terror and tragedy at the Grand 16 movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana. On July 23, 2015, Jillian Johnson, a 33-year-old female, was fatally shot during a screening of the movie 'Trainwreck'. A talented and beloved visual and musical artist, Johnson was a well-known figure in the Lafayette community, where she owned a gift and toy shop and played in a band called The Figs.
