Sherika Broussard, a 21-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on August 25, 2006, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Sherika was at work inside the Victoria's Secret store at the Mall of Acadiana when her ex-boyfriend, Nathan O'Neil Jr., also 21, entered the store with a handgun and shot her to death.
