Christian Roper, an 18-year-old Caucasian male from Lafayette, LA, was killed on March 13, 2019, during a botched robbery attempt. Roper, who worked as a stock clerk at Super 1 Foods, had planned to rob a drug dealer in the parking lot of his girlfriend's apartment complex using an airsoft gun, which looks real but is not a firearm. He had convinced two friends, Ayden McDonald and Trevis Thomas, to help him with the robbery. McDonald drove the car, while Thomas acted as a lookout.
