Antonio Means, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 27, 2015, in Lafayette, Louisiana. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Congress Street, where Means was present with his roommate, Breanna Roy, and 23-year-old Linton Batiste. Tavis Deon Jenkins, 27, entered the apartment and, following an altercation, fatally shot both Means and Batiste. Roy, who was Jenkins' ex-girlfriend, was unharmed in the incident.
