On August 5, 2023, 19-month-old Kaci Giselle Cyprian tragically lost her life in a police-involved shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana. The incident occurred at a home on the 100 block of S. General Marshall Street, where officers were responding to a domestic disturbance involving Kaci's uncle and his girlfriend. During the response, shots were fired, resulting in Kaci's fatal injury.
