In the late summer of 2023, the life of 19-month-old Kaci Giselle Cyprian, a young female, was tragically cut short in Lafayette, Louisiana. On August 5th, what began as a response to a domestic disturbance at a residence on South General Marshall Street escalated into a chaotic and fatal shootout. Lafayette police officers were at the scene when gunfire erupted, and in the ensuing crossfire, the young child was struck and killed.
