On November 24, 2023, a homicide occurred in the 2800 block of NE Evangeline Thruway in Lafayette, Louisiana. The victim, identified as Nancy Herrick, 39, of St. Martinville, Louisiana, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Lafayette Police Officers responded to the scene around 5:22 p.m. and upon arrival, they located Herrick, who subsequently died due to her injuries.
