In the late afternoon of November 24, 2023, the life of 39-year-old Nancy Herrick of St. Martinville, a female, was tragically cut short in Lafayette, Louisiana. Responding to a call, officers arrived at the 2800 block of NE Evangeline Thruway to find Herrick suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The initial incident unfolded at the Plantation Inn, where she was discovered, leaving a community in shock and investigators with the urgent task of finding the person responsible for her death.
