In the early morning hours of May 15, 2021, the life of 18-year-old Jennifer Lumissa D’ene Hurst was tragically cut short in Lafayette, Louisiana. An African American female, Jennifer was discovered slumped over in a vehicle at an apartment complex in the 300 block of McDonald Street around 2:30 a.m., having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a local hospital but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
