Hykeem Martin, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on January 22, 2016, in Kenner, Louisiana. The incident occurred during a drug deal that turned into an armed robbery. Martin, along with Deleon "Del" Perrilloux, 18, and Tandi Hall, 21, conspired to rob Dayan Sanchez, 21, of marijuana. The group drove from LaPlace to Kenner, with Martin and Perrilloux armed with handguns. During the transaction, a shootout ensued between Martin and Sanchez, resulting in Martin's death.
