It was around 10 p.m. when Veal, a male teenager, went outside to see who was there.
Shortly after stepping out, the sound of gunshots shattered the night. His mother, upon hearing the noise, rushed outside to a horrific scene.
She found her son in the yard, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He collapsed after calling out to her. He was transported to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
