In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a 30-year-old Black transgender man named Dalina Demarkis Stamsberry, also known as Demarkis Stansberry, lost his life on February 27, 2016. The incident occurred inside a home on Prescott Road, where he was fatally shot. The man responsible for the shooting was identified as his friend, Nicholas Matthews.
