A 26-year-old man, Harold Jenkins, was fatally shot in the early hours of July 16, 2016, in the St. Roch neighborhood of New Orleans. The incident, which was rooted in a domestic dispute, led to the arrest of his ex-boyfriend.

Authorities were called to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Jenkins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location. The initial investigation quickly pointed towards a domestic motive.
