On a Tuesday afternoon, October 25, 2016, Kyrisha Seanae Armstrong, a 21-year-old female, was fatally wounded in a shooting in the Pines Village area of New Orleans. Just before 3:30 p.m., Armstrong was seated in the back of a parked vehicle on Virgilian Street with four other individuals, including a toddler, when an unidentified person opened fire on them.
