Niukura Gonzales, a 25-year-old woman, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in New Orleans, LA, on February 8, 2020. The incident occurred in the Mid-City area, where Gonzales and another victim, Angel Funez, were shot multiple times by a hooded man riding a cruiser-style female bicycle. The shooting took place around 12:25 a.m. in the 600 block of S. Pierce Street. Gonzales was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries later that night.
