In the early evening hours of the second day of the new year, a sense of hope and promise still lingered in the New Orleans air. But for 22-year-old Myeisha McDaniels, a recent graduate of Dillard University, this evening would tragically be her last. On January 2, 2016, as she sat in her Nissan Altima in the 3700 block of Clio Street, the sound of gunfire shattered the calm.
