Brandon Bovain, a 33-year-old African American man from Orangeburg, South Carolina, was tragically killed on February 25, 2022, while on vacation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Bovain was in New Orleans to enjoy the Mardi Gras festival with his girlfriend and younger brother. The incident occurred in the parking lot of their hotel off Chef Menteur Highway.
