In the summer of 2023, the life of 17-year-old Leah Shantel Perry, a female resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On the evening of July 7th, Perry was in the Bywater neighborhood when she became the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting. The incident occurred on North Villere Street, leaving the community in shock and mourning. Perry was a mother to a young son, who was left without his mother as a result of this violent act.
