Tyneisha Muse, a 17-year-old female, was fatally shot on March 29 in the St. Claude neighborhood of New Orleans. The incident, which also resulted in the wounding of an 18-year-old male, occurred at the corner of North Prieur and Congress Streets.
In connection with the shooting, three individuals were indicted. Corey Harris, 19 years old at the time, was arrested and booked on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
Alongside him, 20-year-old Joshua Augillard and 18-year-old Reginald Blanton were also charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree murder.
Further investigation into one of the suspects revealed a significant criminal history. At the time of the shooting, Joshua Augillard was reportedly out on a $45,000 bond for a previous armed robbery charge. In addition to the charges related to Muse's death, Harris, Augillard, and Blanton faced other charges connected to different attacks in March. This included accusations against a 16-year-old who was charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder in separate March shootings. The same three men were also implicated in the shooting that wounded the 18-year-old on the same day Tyneisha Muse was killed.
