In the quiet community of Metairie, Louisiana, a tragic event unfolded that cut short the life of a young woman. Monica Bates, a 16-year-old female, was fatally shot on Sunday, January 22, 2017. A student at East Jefferson High School, her life was violently ended in a triple homicide.

The incident also claimed the lives of her 25-year-old brother, Malcolm Wallace, and 24-year-old Daneka Lotts, who was identified as Wallace's girlfriend. The three were discovered shot in front of an apart ...
