Luis Acuna, a 48-year-old man from Valparaiso, Indiana, was found fatally shot on December 2, 2022, in Gary, Indiana. According to reports, Gary Police responded to a call around midnight and discovered Acuna lying face up on the sidewalk in the 2500 block of Van Buren Place with a gunshot wound to his back. The Lake County Coroner's Office confirmed his identity and declared him dead at the scene.
