A 63-year-old male, Abozar Shahsavar, died on September 18, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, from gunshot wounds. The incident that led to his death occurred at a residence located at 3088 Crestwood Street.

On the evening of his death, Shahsavar had been invited to dinner by a friend, Darioush Haghighi. Around 7:26 p.m., multiple gunshots were heard outside the home. Shahsavar was discovered with life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
