Alvonta Maurice Pointer, a 27-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 4, 2022, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Alvonta was found deceased inside his residence on Huron Street around 7:10 p.m., suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to the scene following reports of a shooting. The investigation into his death revealed that robbery might have been the motive behind the shooting.
