Dominic Montgomery York, a 40-year-old man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on April 17, 2025. His passing was the result of a murder-suicide incident that occurred near the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. York, who was employed at a rental car company operating within the airport, was involved in an altercation with a coworker, 46-year-old Almutakabbir Sims. The dispute escalated, leading Sims to fatally shoot York before turning the gun on himself.
