Derielle Bernard, a 27-year-old African American woman from Marrero, LA, tragically lost her life on October 23, 2017. On that fateful day, Derielle Bernard and 23-year-old Brandon Davis were both shot in a drug-related robbery on 6100 Second Avenue in Marrero. Derielle sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was found unconscious and on a respirator at the hospital. Despite the medical team's efforts, she had a zero survival rate and ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
