In the early evening hours in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a friendly game of dominoes turned into a scene of violence that claimed the life of 56-year-old James Young and left another man critically injured. The two men were outside a residence in the 1700 block of North 47th Street when an individual approached them and opened fire. The sudden eruption of gunfire shattered the quiet atmosphere of the neighborhood, leaving one man dead and another fighting for his life.
