In the late summer of 2019, the life of a promising African American teenager, Brionne BG Linson, was tragically cut short. The 14-year-old male, an eighth-grader who had recently earned a spot on his middle school's football team, was shot and killed on Friday, August 23, 2019, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brionne, known affectionately as "BG" by his loved ones, harbored dreams of one day becoming a police officer, a desire rooted in his passion for helping others.
