On a late summer evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 24-year-old Kaylon Shaw was cut short by a single gunshot. The incident, which occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2022, unfolded in a grassy area along Florida Boulevard, between Sharp Road and Sherwood Forest Boulevard. When police arrived at the scene shortly before 9:30 p.m., they discovered Shaw's body, the victim of what they would soon learn was a domestic dispute that had escalated to a fatal conclusion.
