In the early morning hours of June 2, 2018, the life of 24-year-old Savarea Stickman came to a violent end in the Cedar Grove neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident, which unfolded shortly before 1 a.m. in the 7200 block of Bernstein Avenue, was the culmination of a drug transaction that had taken a deadly turn. Stickman was discovered with at least two gunshot wounds to his upper body and was rushed to University Health hospital, where he was pronounced dead just after 6 a.m.
