On April 13, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., 30-year-old Devontea Strauther was found fatally shot in the 5100 block of Maffitt Avenue in St. Louis' Kingsway West neighborhood. Responding officers discovered him lying on the ground; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
