In the spring of 2025, a block party in Shreveport's Morningside neighborhood took a tragic turn, ending the life of 19-year-old Jarius D. Pennywell. On the evening of May 1st, gunshots shattered the festive atmosphere on Fuller Street. When the chaos subsided, Pennywell, a male, was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, but the injury proved to be fatal. The Caddo Parish Coroner's office later identified Pennywell as the victim of the shoo ...
