Tajana Williams, a 17-year-old African American female, tragically lost her life on August 21, 2018, in the Desire neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. near the 2900 block of Ursula Spencer Way. Officers responding to the scene found Williams lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. Despite the efforts of EMS to provide medical treatment, she succumbed to her injuries on the scene.
