Devon Sutton, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in New Iberia, Louisiana, on January 4, 2019. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on St. Jude Street. Devon was inside a home when a bullet came through the window, striking him. He was rushed to Iberia Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Devon had just celebrated his 16th birthday, making the loss even more poignant for his family and friends.
