In the winter of 2019, a trip to Harvey, Louisiana, to celebrate a birthday ended in tragedy for 22-year-old Angenae Walker. On February 7, just one day after her birthday, the young woman from Washington state was found shot to death inside a townhouse on Kings Lane. Her death was part of a grim discovery that unfolded when authorities were called to the residence, where they also found the body of 27-year-old Cheston Isom.
Investigators determined that Isom, who was a fugitive from
Washington with a criminal record, had shot Walker in the head. Following the murder, Isom sought the help of a friend, 30-year-old Kendall Friloux, to dispose of Walker's body. As the two men were wrapping her body in a sheet, an argument broke out between them. The confrontation escalated, and Friloux strangled Isom to death. Friloux later claimed he acted in self-defense.
When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they found Walker's body on the second floor of the townhouse, while Isom's body was on the first floor. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of both Kendall Friloux and Isom's girlfriend, 24-year-old Spring Darlos Sanders. While Friloux was not charged in Isom's death, he and Sanders faced charges of obstruction of justice for their roles in the events that transpired after Walker's murder. Friloux was sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Sanders received a six-year sentence.
