Shamairie Joseph, a 15-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on December 22, 2015, in Harvey, Louisiana. The incident occurred when Romalis Levier, a 20-year-old man from Harvey, was involved in an ongoing dispute with another group of individuals. Levier opened fire on Emmett Garrison IV in retaliation for a previous shooting.
