On December 9, 2023, 19-year-old Cammeon Franklin was fatally shot in Covington County, Alabama. The incident began with an altercation at the Andalusia Walmart, after which two suspects pursued Franklin's vehicle through county roads. During the chase, shots were fired into the vehicle, striking Franklin in the head and the driver in the leg.
