In the summer of 2025, a quiet street in Harvey, Louisiana, became the scene of a tragedy that cut short the life of 39-year-old Bryisha Pennington. On the evening of July 28th, neighbors on Third Avenue were startled by the sound of gunshots, a chilling interruption to the evening's calm. When Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the home Pennington shared with her 28-year-old boyfriend, Layman Adams, they discovered a grim scene.
