Derek White, a 34-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 12, 2019, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. when Derek was standing outside a residence on Jackson Street. A blue sedan drove past the home, and multiple shots were fired from the vehicle, striking Derek multiple times in the upper body. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
