The location was identified as the Quick Stop at 674 N 1st St, a small fuel-and-wash stop just off US 59/84.
Investigators said the confrontation involved family. According to Capt. Cameron Nichols, Tommy Lee Bryce Jr., 45, arrived at the car wash area and got into an altercation with his cousin, 40-year-old Jarrod Dukes, who then fired from his vehicle. Deputies found Tommy Lee Bryce Jr., 45, at the scene and took Jarrod Dukes into custody there.
Authorities announced an arrest shortly afterward. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office stated that Jarrod Dukes, 40, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder in the death of Tommy Lee Bryce Jr., 45.
