On January 26, 1968, 19-year-old Linda Kay Slawson disappeared while working as a door-to-door encyclopedia salesperson in southwest Portland, Oregon. She resided in Aloha, Oregon, with her mother and siblings. Slawson's case is a harrowing one, as she is recognized as the first of four confirmed victims of the notorious serial killer Jerome Henry 'Jerry' Brudos, also known as "The Lust Killer" and "The Shoe Fetish Slayer".
