On July 27, 2023, 17-year-old Camo Lee Morton was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound at a residence in Timpson, Texas. Law enforcement responded promptly to the scene, and an inquest was performed by Shelby County Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Tracy Broadway, who ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
