In the Mooretown neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana, a Sunday evening in late March of 2017 was shattered by gunfire, leaving a family and community to mourn the loss of Marcus Ramon Jenkins. The 45-year-old man was fatally wounded on March 26, 2017.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene where Jenkins was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to University Health Hospital, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries. The incident was quickly classified as a ...
